Originally a 9-hole golf course when it first opened in 1967, North Hills Municipal Golf quickly expanded to an 18-hole golf course 4 years later, in 1971. Numerous improvements have been made in recent years, including to the watering system for better fairways and greens, improved equipment, and improvements to the lot and clubhouse.
The course is a par 71 and 6,224 yards in length from the longest tees and rated 3 ½ stars by Golf Digest. North Hills is kept in top shape with beautiful large bent grass greens and tree-lined fairways. Miss the mostly generously sized fairways and end up in the rough, a more difficult shot but not severe. Several holes feature water and challenging bunkers.
